SuperSeed has led a $1m round in Ai Build, joined by tech entrepreneur William Tunstall-Pedoe, to accelerate commercialisation of its manufacturing software.
Ai Build provides cloud based software designed to automate additive manufacturing and reduce material waste for industrial clients. The firm helps major manufacturers streamline production across aerospace, automotive, and energy sectors.
London-based Ai Build has secured £1m in a seed funding round led by SuperSeed, with participation from British entrepreneur William Tunstall-Pedoe. The company has developed an artificial intelligence platform called AiSync to enable rapid large-scale 3D printing for automotive and aerospace manufacturers. Funding will be directed towards accelerating commercialisation of the technology for global tier-one manufacturers.
The business has previously gained traction with major motorsport teams and brands such as GKN Aerospace and Rolls-Royce, alongside its participation in the ATI Boeing Accelerator. Customers have reported significant reductions in labour costs and failed print attempts using the platform.
From the founder
"Even though 3D printing has come a long way, it is still extremely difficult to produce large, complex parts with the consistency required by the manufacturing industry. At present, parts that only take a few hours of printing time, take manufacturers weeks or months to prepare. Lack of automation is the barrier. To solve this problem, we use smart algorithms and data for maximum efficiency, reliability and scalability. We are very excited and humbled to be backed by investors who share our vision to create the factories of the future."
