The Yorkshire technology firm has raised seed funding from Angelfish to accelerate product development and international expansion.
"Angelfish is delighted to increase its holding in yboo and to be negotiating the potential injection of substantial funds to secure the rollout and expansion of the yboo model. In the last few months, since the initial funding, yboo has significantly advanced the technology behind the model and attract considerable trade interest within the price comparison sector."
The series B round was led by GMG Ventures and includes participation from MMC Ventures, Frontline, and Kreos Capital.
"We have a system that’s constantly evolving and getting smarter and more intuitive for our customers as they use it. Most businesses above a certain size already have a business intelligence tool that enables them to analyse their internal data in considerable depth. Our objective is to provide senior leaders with as much clarity and transparency about what’s happening outside of their organisation as they have inside it."
The round was led by South Central Ventures and will support office openings in the United States and Macedonia.
"This funding is a testament to the team’s hard work and passion. This latest round is central to our strategy of providing the best technology in sales intelligence to improve prospecting performance and to meet a new quality standard in GDPR compliant contact data. We couldn’t have achieved this without the support of Newable Private Investing and the London Co-Investment Fund."
The financing marks the single largest investment completed by the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund to date.
"Azzure IT’s success is due to its focus on service, quality and the ability to deliver real-world solutions to meet its clients’ challenges. Founded in the last economic downturn, the company itself used technology to take on emerging market challenges and to thrive and grow. Its goal is to support other growing businesses to achieve digital transformation. The funding will allow the business to scale up to meet growing demand and create 12 new jobs in Yorkshire."
