Signal Media has raised $16m in a series B funding round led by GMG Ventures. The investment includes participation from MMC Ventures, Frontline, Hearst Ventures, Reed Elsevier Ventures, and LocalGlobe, alongside a debt facility from Kreos Capital.
The company will use the capital to support its expansion into the United States and further develop its business intelligence technology. Signal Media aims to help senior leaders track external risks and market developments outside their organisations.
The business currently competes with established providers in the corporate reputation and communications market, and is expanding into risk management for tax, compliance, and professional services.
From the founder
"We have a system that’s constantly evolving and getting smarter and more intuitive for our customers as they use it. Most businesses above a certain size already have a business intelligence tool that enables them to analyse their internal data in considerable depth. Our objective is to provide senior leaders with as much clarity and transparency about what’s happening outside of their organisation as they have inside it."
