The funding round was led by Hambro Perks with participation from international backers across three continents.
"We have seen a clear societal shift towards remote work, a trend that we believe will continue to accelerate at pace. We should embrace the opportunities that this presents, and platforms like Virtual Internships help students and graduates from around the world to acquire new skills that will accelerate their career growth and prepare them for the 21st-century workplace. Our mission is to bridge the gap between education and the workforce by making global remote work experience accessible to all in a digital and borderless world."
The Copenhagen-based electric vehicle platform will use the capital to enter North America and develop new grid management services.
"We are aiming to fully digitalise the EV ecosystem to tackle all the immediate challenges within the industry and build toward a more transparent and flexible future. By partnering with hardware OEMs, we can deliver new features straight out of the box, like our new feature that allows operators to set a percentage on top of the spot price in order to follow the market fluctuations and automatically offer a fair price for charging,"
The financing will accelerate the deployment of Ownera's global interoperability network for institutional digital securities.
"It is commonly accepted that the tokenization of securities has the capacity to digitize markets with total value in the trillions of dollars. Dozens of platforms are being deployed by financial institutions across the market, and our job is to be the neutral layer, seamlessly interconnecting them into one global distribution and liquidity network, using open-source network specifications"
The funding round was backed by investors including Sustainable Future Ventures and Regal London to further develop physical and digital technologies.
"Building energy efficient, affordable housing without the waste and carbon footprint that accompanies traditional construction has never been more critical. Modular delivery is really the only way the housing crisis can be resolved, but, for many, the upfront capital investment has held back the industry’s ability to scale. We are keen to prove that by collaborating with each other, the industry can move forward with transparency and cost certainty front and centre. That’s why we are delighted to have completed this Series A round in the most testing funding environment for decades. It’s a testament to the potential we have to solve the housing crisis and, to the amazing team we have built."
