Tewke closed an oversubscribed seed round to accelerate the development and market rollout of its home energy optimisation platform.
"There have been small movements towards adopting more energy efficient systems, and smart-home technologies, but there has always been a lack of a fully integrated system that can autonomously automate energy savings, and Tewke is changing that. Often energy savings are associated with some kind of compromise, but at Tewke we are building a platform that will elevate people’s homes, making them more environmentally friendly, intuitive and secure."
The seed round was led by The FSE Group via the South West Investment Fund, with participation from Fuel Ventures.
"Building a healthy workplace culture is a collective responsibility; employees need to feel equipped, safe and protected, with Employee Relations and Compliance empowered and accountable. Our platform supports organisations to act fairly, kindly and responsibly, reaping the benefits of the Safe Workplace they create. We are delighted to receive this South West Investment Fund funding, which will enable us to further develop our product and expand our team."
The Bristol start-up secured £150k from British Design Fund within a £500k raise to accelerate its AI-driven aquatic rehabilitation platform.
"Pain and joint conditions, collectively known as musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, affect 20m people in the UK and 1.7bn people globally. Many of these disorders can be effectively treated and managed through water-based therapeutic interventions. However, until now, we have been unable to measure movement in water to assess the power, speed or range of movement with any accuracy. We’re delighted to say Good Boost has cracked that engineering challenge. On the sports side, injuries account for 60% of player absences, with an average of 2.5 injuries per player, per season. Our technology can help ensure that athletes’ recovery, rehab and conditioning is tailored to individual needs, providing analysis and feedback as part of an athlete’s aquatic recovery programme."
The seed round was led by Heal Capital to support platform development and expand community-based care pathways.
"For a long time, healthcare was rooted in the community. This brought so many benefits to both patients and practitioners, but in recent decades it’s become completely cost-ineffective to deliver it. Meanwhile, secondary care is becoming increasingly bottlenecked, with waiting lists at an all-time high and discharge delays keeping patients in hospital longer than they need. Our mission with Heim Health is to build the digital infrastructure needed to change this; revitalising community-based care and moving more healthcare from the hospital into the home through scalable modes of delivery."
