March Capital led the Series B round with backing from National Grid Partners and Slaughter and May to fund expansion in the United States.
"This latest round of funding will help us to bring our technology to new markets, strengthen our foothold in the United States where Luminance now generates over one third of its revenue, and solidify our position as the clear market leader in this space."
The funding comes from the Development Bank of Wales and Wesley Clover to support product development and sales expansion.
"As a legal technology business, we offer compliance management software that allows regulated businesses to save time and reduce costs with end-to-end compliance requirements."
The Series B round was led by Temasek to support US and Asia Pacific expansion alongside engineering recruitment.
"We’ve seen incredible customer traction with what we believe is the smartest AI contract copilot on the market. But this is just the beginning. We are building the AI platform for the legal sector – a service that deeply understands every aspect of the legal function, from drafting contracts, researching case law to explaining legal concepts – our AI will help people tackle every legal task. This will help level the playing field between big and small law firms and help more people access legal services. This investment will help us to realise this vision."
The Series B round was co-led by Salesforce Ventures and Spark Capital to support product development for tendering teams.
"The investment in AutogenAI by Salesforce Ventures highlights our conviction that AutogenAI’s software is a game-changer for enterprises that secure business via tendering and drafting proposals,"
The investment round was led by FINTOP Capital with participation from Gresham House Ventures.
"From our first conversation, it was clear that the FINTOP team really understood the legal technology space. They are a team of former technology operators, including Rick Kushel the former CEO of DealCloud (which was acquired by Intapp in 2018). They are uniquely positioned to support us to execute on our next phase of growth, of which expansion into the US market is an important part. With the additions of Mark and Chris, we’re confident we have a highly skilled Board that is passionate about freeing lawyers from the drudgery of deal administration with streamlined legal transactions. I can’t wait to work with them through this next phase of growth."
