The financing round was backed by ACF Investors, o2h Ventures, Jonathan Milner, and R42 Group.
"This latest funding will enable us to build on and accelerate our successful computational design-led discovery focus. We are excited to be playing a pivotal role in the innovation of oncological treatments leading to better outcomes for cancer patients worldwide. Our groundbreaking new approach stands to be initially validated by the proof-of-concept studies. We are achieving rapid progress not only with our industry-leading drug discovery programme, but also our proprietary AI platform. This has led to increasing interest from third parties in our machine learning capabilities, so we are keen to capitalise on this demand and establish a commercial effort in this area"
The grant will fund the rollout of gut-imaging technology to over 10 National Health Service trusts.
"One of the first questions we are asked is 'who else is using GIQuant?' and through this grant, we have an opportunity to really drive the tech into a lot of different types of hospitals and give the clinical community the time (and resource) to see how GIQuant can fit their workflows. This of course builds on regulatory clearance and a large number of published papers, but there is no substitution for hands-on use."
Temasek led the Series D round, which values the cloud banking technology firm at $2.7bn.
"We are investing c.£40m into Thought Machine, a fintech innovator and partner we consider strategic to the industrial upgrade of Intesa Sanpaolo. Their cloud-based technology is fundamental to our transformation from incumbent to digital challenger, improving our core banking technology and providing the foundation for our new digital bank, Isybank."
Downing Ventures and Gresham House backed the latest funding round to support software kit development.
"As we transition out of numerous lockdowns, businesses globally are realigning their working environments and travel policies to meet this new way of working. Virtual and hybrid meetings now have a permanent place in their communications and marketing channels, and we’re innovating to support that. It’s a very interesting time for us at Glisser as we embark on the next stage of our growth journey."
The funding round was led by IW Capital to support expansion into international markets and further develop the LO:LIVE platform.
"The clear and defined strategy, the scale of the opportunity and energy and drive from the management of Location Live, made this a very simple decision to invest. Rarely do you see such a transparent opportunity for growth with, with evident market preparedness and matched ambition from the management."
