"The nature of threats facing public spaces and critical infrastructure has changed. Incidents are faster, more dispersed and often designed to exploit gaps. Augur exists to close those gaps, helping operators spot warning signs earlier and make better use of their existing infrastructure. Our goal is simple: to help protect people in the places where they live, travel and gather."
The funding round was led by Preqin founder Mark O'Hare through Valhalla Ventures.
"AI has changed the pace of legal drafting. Client expectations have shifted, volumes are rising, and the old model of document-by-document automation no longer scales. What firms need now is drafting infrastructure – systems that embed structure, governance and human oversight alongside AI capability. That’s how you scale without diluting quality. Avvoka exists to build that infrastructure. We help legal teams turn their knowledge into structured, supervised systems that increase output while protecting their edge."
The pre-seed round was backed by SFC Capital to support product development and governance features.
"We’re excited to back Plato as they address one of the most important challenges in higher education today: ensuring students receive timely, effective academic support at scale. As universities explore how to integrate AI into teaching and learning, there is a clear need for solutions that enhance the student experience while giving institutions appropriate oversight and insight. We believe this combination of improved student experience and strong institutional oversight positions Plato as an important part of the future of higher education."
The London-based biomaterials startup secured $15m from investors including Alter Equity and JamJar Investments to expand its manufacturing network in the United States and Europe.
"Shellworks represents exactly the kind of innovation we need to see in the materials economy. They’re not just creating a better material, they’re building the infrastructure to make it accessible at scale. That’s what will drive real change and contribute to the plastic-free economy we are supporting at alter equity."
