The Middlesbrough-based e-commerce platform has raised £2.8m from Mercia Ventures to expand its team and integrate new technology.
"Salesfire’s mission is to help retailers grow their e-commerce sites and drive revenue. Our new Salesfire AI technology will be revolutionary in giving them scope to identify more anonymous site traffic and opening up a whole new world of marketing and data opportunities. We are pleased to have the continued support of our investors in this latest round and really excited to be at the forefront of AI in e-commerce."
The Series A round was led by Apollo and Motive to expand the alternative asset management platform.
"We have reached an inflection point where alternative asset managers now need their own operating system to power the industry’s next growth phase. We are thrilled to welcome Apollo as an enterprise-scale client and investor as we bring a new standard to the alternative asset management space. We purpose-built Vega AltOS to meet the complex client infrastructure needs of high growth, private markets asset managers. Similar to our experience in the core banking and payments revolution, demand and volumes across all client channels for private markets investments have outstripped the industry’s infrastructure of generic, sub-scale point solutions. We are excited to partner with Apollo and Motive to innovate and solve this industry challenge. Apollo’s contribution of Edna – one of the largest alternative employee investment platforms in the market – accelerates Vega’s AltOS vision for GPs. Edna was incubated at Apollo, in partnership with Motive, and epitomizes the innovative approach to global wealth solutions at Apollo. We are excited to continue expanding our range of GP solutions with the addition of Edna’s employee investment capabilities."
Speedinvest led the pre-seed round, which will fund international expansion and product development.
"Lenders are losing a significant portion of their economics to third-party fees and endless structuring processes. We want to help them claim back that value by simplifying their access to a broader range of financing options. This will ultimately benefit their clients, consumers and small businesses of the real economy, at a time where innovative credit, payment, and embedded finance products are rapidly growing. Our solution is applicable to any finance product. We are here to support any lender, anywhere, and help them scale their operations."
The capital injection will accelerate the silicon roadmap for minimally invasive neural implant applications.
"Our semiconductor-based approach is fundamentally reshaping what neural implants can achieve. By offering a customisable, compact solution that integrates seamlessly into medical devices, we’re empowering a new era of neural interfaces that are not only more powerful but also less invasive. This marks a transformative shift in neurological care."
