The funding from the Development Bank of Wales will enable the practice to establish a new operating theatre and safeguard nine jobs.
"The new premises is still very accessible and near the local livestock market. We have renovated a bungalow for commercial use. Whilst we usually treat the animals offsite, during the lambing season it’s common for farmers to bring ewes with lambing difficulties to the practice. One of the things we are using the loan for is to convert one of the rooms into an operating theatre."
The academy sourced the debt financing from the Development Bank of Wales to purchase equipment for a new site in Lydstep.
"We were given the chance to open a second centre in Lydstep but we needed access to quick finance so that we could grasp the opportunity quickly. The fast-track loan from the Development Bank means that we can invest in new equipment and diversify our business in to the tourism market; providing exciting opportunities for growth and creating new work for local freelance sailing instructors."
The funding from the Development Bank of Wales will help finance the purchase and fit-out of a golf range in Penrhys.
"For me sport, especially golf, is a great way of engaging with others and learning new skills. I wanted others in my community to have the same opportunities I had to gain qualifications, while enjoying the social and health benefits the sport offers."
Caple has provided an unsecured eight-year loan to support the healthtech company's domestic and international growth.
"Many successful businesses are growing by developing intangible assets such as intellectual property or services. However, while banks can lend against the tangible assets in a business, they can only do so up to the value of those physical assets available as collateral. After that, they cannot help."
