The funding round was led by 24Haymarket and will support product development and international growth.
"It has been an important year for myGwork. We’ve really had to prove to our members, funders and sponsors that we are a resource worth investing in, financially and professionally. The investment from 24Haymarket shows that workplace inclusion and equality for LGBT+ professionals is still very important to LGBT+ professionals and investors alike."
Innovate UK awarded the grant through its Sustainable Innovation Fund to back the development of the Talent Support Platform.
"In these difficult times we have seen the best of British business innovation. The pandemic is not just a health emergency but one that impacts society and the economy"
The funding round was backed by Social Capital, Oxford Capital and 7percent Ventures.
"As a successful former headhunter I was placing senior executives, and I saw exceptional employees leaving work to have a baby and struggling to get back in. Firms passed on perfect candidates because they were uncomfortable with bespoke arrangements. I knew things had to change, and I wanted to be the driver of that change. Employees aren't asking for anything revolutionary, just to be able to work in the way that's most efficient and productive for them. Flexibility enables people to maximise their energy and skills, and that's a huge benefit for employers once they realise it. The investment we've secured is a vote of confidence in something we already know is true."
The London-based graduate recruitment platform raised the capital from a group of angel investors.
"This is the start for what we envision an evolving success story for graduates and companies alike. We pride ourselves on offering a unique, democratised model to the graduate recruitment market, focusing on the strengths and personality traits of recent graduates and working closely with employers to identify the applicant that would flourish at their company."
