Amadeus Capital Partners and Beringea have co-led a £2m round to support the customer conversation technology provider in scaling across Europe and the Americas.
"During the past seven years, we have built a highly successful and profitable business which delivers unique services to clients. As consumer behaviour and communications become more complex and multi-faceted, we have a clear opportunity to project this success globally."
The livestreaming TV platform secured the funding led by A+E Networks to develop its content offering and scale distribution.
"We are very excited about the investment and the backing it provides operationally and financially for the expansion of TVPlayer. TVPlayer has already succeeded in building a first-class content delivery platform and being the first provider in the UK to launch a legal live TV streaming service carrying all of the major channels. With our investors’ support, we look forward to focusing on our efforts on customer acquisition and subscriber growth."
IQ Capital led the Series B round with participation from several co-investors to advance the company laboratory research tools.
"IQ Capital are a long standing client of ours – we helped them set up both their current IQ Capital Fund II and its predecessor, IQ Capital Fund I. We are delighted to see them so actively investing out of their latest fund and particularly in Fluidic Analytics, a local business with an exciting and entrepreneurial management team developing truly disruptive technology."
The former Apprentice finalist raised the capital from 390 backers in exchange for 5.58% equity.
"We are very happy with how the campaign has gone. The amount of support we received for DatePlay during the campaign has been amazing and we are now excited for the next step which is the launch of the app."
The Series A round was led by BGF Ventures with participation from Spring Partners.
"We’ve been growing really fast over the last two years, and are planning to invest to continue this growth. We’re roughly doubling the size of our engineering and sales teams over the coming months to keep up with growth."
