The home intelligence brand secured the investment after winning The Start Up Series competition.
"We have so many connected devices in the home from nanny cams and speakers to smart fridges, digital doorbells and games consoles, that we need security for all of them. Our vision is to protect at least two million homes and families from cyber-attacks by 2025 so this investment will support our efforts to grow substantially over the next 12 months in order to do so."
The London-based start-up has closed its first funding round with backing from tennis enthusiast and fintech investor David Kasper.
"We are extremely excited to partner with David and start our journey towards becoming the world’s largest online sporting community for amateurs. There are over 1 billion people in the world who find it very difficult to meet partners near them, at a similar standard and available to play. This is exactly why we’re here and we’re determined to help them all."
Playfair Capital led the pre-seed round, which will fund ongoing recruitment and business development.
"The lockdown gave us all time to reflect and Heka was born in the midst of the crisis. We realised that our mission was to inspire and equip people no matter where they are based to be balanced and happy, and give them a reason to smile every day"
The pre-seed round was backed by GC Angels to support product development and user acquisition.
"There has always been an element of awkwardness when trying to gather money from friends for expensive group bookings – we wanted to introduce a platform that would remove the burden from individuals and make their lives easier. As we move closer towards a cashless society, we believe that exchanging money between friends and family should be a completely seamless process, which is why the average Collctiv transaction takes only 10 seconds."
