Achmea Innovation Fund has backed the micromobility insurer in a round led by Shift4Good.
"In a world where the demand for green and healthy transport options continues to rise but electric bicycles are also becoming increasingly expensive, Laka is at the forefront with innovative solutions."
The funding round was led by Shift4Good to support the company's growth and recent acquisition of Cylantro.
"We’re excited to welcome onboard the Cylantro team to Laka. Thomas and his team have built up a fantastic offering in France, and we can’t wait to ramp up our presence across the country. E-bikes are expected to outgrow car sales by 2025 in Europe and we see huge potential in France, where the sales of bikes and e-bikes are growing at double-digits. We are also excited to welcome Shift4Good as an investor, and we look forward to working with them to expand our commitments to decarbonising mobility, by making it easier for consumers to insure and protect their bikes or e-bikes."
GIC led the Series E round, which values the decision intelligence provider at $1.8bn.
"After closing our Series D investment round, Quantexa has been on a transformational journey, accelerating the growth of our global software business and firmly establishing our leadership position in the emerging Decision Intelligence category. In a challenging market we have doubled our ARR, our user base, and continue to penetrate new markets and industries. This infusion of capital will fuel further innovation, diversification, and expansion, and opens exciting options for our future."
London Stock Exchange Group and other major backers join Series B round to support international growth and technology development.
"The COVID-19 pandemic demonstrated the effectiveness of the public markets, with companies recapitalising quickly and efficiently. Our technology has allowed thousands of retail investors to participate on equal terms with institutional investors, unlocking a large and important source of liquidity and long-term share ownership for corporate issuers. The response from Boards and their advisers to our solution has been excellent: they recognise our digital solution for retail inclusion brings together both good governance and best execution."
Evolution Equity Partners led the Series C financing alongside participation from British Patient Capital, ABN AMRO Ventures, Dawn Capital, AlbionVC, HSBC and Accenture Ventures.
"We are thrilled that Evolution Equity Partners and British Patient Capital will be joining our team, alongside the strategic investment from ABN AMRO Ventures. Together with the continued trust and commitment from our existing investors, we will drive the next phase of Quantexa’s growth. We are seeing a huge demand for our platform to support multiple applications across our core markets in financial services and within new industry sectors. This investment will accelerate our product innovation roadmap and enable us to invest further into Europe, North America and Asia Pacific regions, as well as expand into new locations."
The data privacy platform aims to accelerate international expansion and increase headcount following backing from Warburg Pincus.
"Large enterprises in regulated industries like financial services and healthcare have been early adopters of data privacy solutions, but all companies should look for ways to use data more safely and more effectively. Managing sensitive data at enterprise scale and complexity is a real challenge for even the most sophisticated data organizations. By automating the enforcement of data protection strategies, Privitar’s platform makes this achievable in any data-driven organization. We are excited to partner with Warburg Pincus as we continue to pioneer the category."
