Ziglu is a personal money app that integrates traditional British pounds and Mastercard spending with access to cryptocurrencies. The London based firm is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority as an electronic money institution and cryptoasset business.

London-based cryptocurrency challenger Ziglu has completed a seed funding round, securing £5.3m from a group of specialist UK fintech investors and entrepreneurs. The capital will be deployed to support the company product roadmap, engage with its user base, and expand its internal technology team.

Founded by former Starling Bank co-founder and CTO Mark Hipperson, the business aims to offer accessible and fair currency exchange services. Despite broader economic pressures during lockdown, the firm raised a total that outpaces average early-stage benchmarks for the period.
