Zetta Genomics secures £1.9m in seed follow on funding led by Nina Capital

Nina Capital led the seed follow on round to support international growth and product scaling.

Zetta Genomics operates as a genomic data pioneer centred on tertiary genomic data analysis platforms to advance precision medicine. The company develops technologies designed to empower clinicians and researchers with efficient data management and scalable analytics.

Zetta Genomics has raised £1.9m in a second seed funding round to configure for Series A financing and expand its operations. The investment was led by Nina Capital, with participation from APEX Ventures and Cambridge Enterprise. The fresh capital follows an earlier £2.5m seed round secured in February 2022.

The company intends to use the funds to scale its technologies, enhance customer success capabilities, deepen bioinformatics expertise, and build out its engineering team. Zetta Genomics plans to grow internationally with an initial focus on the UK, US and Spain, aiming to manage 500,000 genomes.
