Zero Petroleum produces net zero synthetic fuels by recycling carbon dioxide and water.

Zero Petroleum has secured £200k in an oversubscribed seed round led by Raising Partners Angels, marking the syndicate's inaugural investment. Damon Hill OBE participated as an investor through the syndicate.

The capital will enable the company to construct a pilot synthetic fuel production facility in the UK and expand its engineering, sales, and operations teams. The funding also supports the company's objective to secure additional commercial partnerships and demonstrate the viability of its net zero hydrocarbons.

Founded by Formula One engineering figure Paddy Lowe alongside Professor Nilay Shah, Zero Petroleum develops drop-in synthetic alternatives to fossil fuels, such as petrol, diesel, and jet fuel, using carbon dioxide and water.

From the founder

Investor perspective

"We must all rise to the challenge of tackling climate change and the need to transition to more sustainable forms of energy. As a former colleague of Paddy’s, I’m delighted that he’s using his skills in a way which could potentially benefit us all, and I’m a firm supporter of Zero Petroleum."
