Zendo Energy is a British startup building an Energy OS designed to decarbonise computing power within data centres. The AI-powered platform helps facilities navigate volatile energy markets and integrate renewables.
Zendo Energy has raised £1.8m in a pre-seed funding round to advance its software platform for data centres. The investment was led by Fly Ventures, with participation from Octopus Ventures and Pact VC, alongside industry angel investors.
The capital will support the development of Zendo's predictive analytics technology, which enables data centre operators to forecast power demand and adapt to AI workloads while cutting energy costs. The funding arrives as the sector faces mounting electricity demands driven by artificial intelligence and cloud computing expansion.
Co-founded by Jade Batstone and Drew Barrett, the company draws on decades of experience in renewable energy and enterprise software to help facilities manage price volatility and incorporate intermittent renewable sources.
