London-based HR technology platform that unifies human resources, information technology, and payroll administration into a single system.
London-based workforce management platform Zelt has secured $3.5m in seed funding to scale its operations and meet international demand. The financing round was co-led by Episode 1 Ventures and Village Global, with additional participation from several notable angel investors including Charlie Songhurst, Mandeep Singh, Felix Leuschner, and Daniel Hegarty.
The company plans to direct the fresh capital towards boosting marketing efforts and supporting larger, more global client bases. Zelt provides a consolidated system that merges payroll, onboarding, expenses, and IT provisioning into one interface, helping organisations reduce the administrative burden on HR teams.
The investment arrives as demand grows for integrated workforce tools that replace fragmented administrative software stacks. By bringing multiple operational workflows together, the platform enables employees to self-serve while giving leadership teams better visibility across the employee lifecycle.
From the founder
"Until now, companies needed to piece together a number of different tools in order to run even basic people operations, due to the limited scope of the existing tools available. This made it difficult for companies to take a holistic approach, not to mention facilitate automation and self-service options,"

Investor perspective
"As soon as we started using Zelt’s product we got excited. Chris has flipped conventional thinking on its head and prioritised the employee journey right from the start. Zelt has worked out what services every employee needs and puts them on a timeline that makes the most sense for the user. Onboard in minutes with the right device and payroll configuration, setup software tools and schedule workflows, and then add to that as the relationship evolves,"
