xigxag raises £650k from Lifted Ventures angels and industry pioneers to scale its audiobook platform
The funding round was backed by angel investors from Lifted Ventures, Alma Angels, and the founders of World of Books.
The British startup provides an integrated audiobook platform that combines synchronized text and audio. It serves customers across multiple countries with a catalogue of more than 125,000 titles.
Audiobook startup xigxag has secured new investment from a syndicate of backers led by angel investors from Lifted Ventures. The funding round also includes participation from Alma Angels and industry figures including the founders of World of Books.
The capital will support the company as it scales operations and further develops its proprietary audiobook technology. The platform enables simultaneous listening and reading through an integrated mobile application.
Operating in a growing global market, the business has expanded rapidly over recent years without paid marketing. The latest capital injection provides resources to pursue broader international growth.
