Wurkr provides a SaaS platform that creates immersive virtual workspaces for distributed teams. The company operates across the UK and India.
Wurkr has secured over £1m in a seed funding round led by Hindustan Media Ventures. The raise included £700k from the lead investor alongside participation from crowdfunders on Seedrs and angel backing.
The capital will support international expansion, team growth, product development, and marketing efforts. The company has seen rapid subscriber growth over the past year amid a surge in remote working demand.
Chief executive Annil Chandel noted that the business grew without government grants prior to the raise, positioning the firm for its next phase of development.
