Workshop Trading Holdings operates Workshop Coffee, a specialty coffee roaster supplying high-end hospitality clients and retail consumers. The business focuses on direct sourcing and roasting high-grade coffee.

Workshop Trading Holdings has secured £1m in seed funding to support the expansion of its wholesale division and upgrade its digital infrastructure. The investment was led by James Dickson alongside high-net-worth participants and The FSE Group.

The capital arrives as the company builds on recent commercial momentum in its B2B operations, securing supply agreements with notable hospitality venues including Raffles London and The Langham. These commercial developments follow leadership changes that saw the appointment of David Read as Chairman and Andy Phillips as Chief Executive Officer.

Management intends to direct the proceeds towards accelerating growth within the business-to-business segment and deploying a new e-commerce platform.

From the founder

"We are thrilled to have completed this funding round following our successful MBO. Our wholesale division is experiencing an unprecedented level of growth, and we’re very pleased to have welcomed several new 5-star hotels to our client base in recent months. With Andy Phillips appointed as CEO, and David Read as Chairman, we believe we now have the best possible platform to scale the business."
