Wordsmith AI has secured $14m in a Series B extension led by Intact Private Capital, with participation from new backer FT Ventures and returning investors Highland Europe and Index Ventures. The fresh capital lifts the company total funding to $114m following a $70m raise closed in June. The capital injection will support the firm expansion across North America and deeper penetration into the financial services and insurance sectors.
The Edinburgh and New York based startup provides AI agents that integrate directly into corporate legal departments to process requests, route information and execute routine tasks against approved playbooks. The company reports a fourteenfold increase in revenue year over year, serving over 500 corporate clients including BT, the Financial Times and Starling Bank.
