West Hill Capital led the pre-Series A round, which will fund product development and US expansion.
Wi5 provides a mobile order and pay platform for hospitality venues that helps operators boost profitability and streamline service. The data-driven system enables digital menus and management tools across restaurants, bars, and cafes.
London-based mobile ordering platform Wi5 has secured £4.4m in a pre-Series A funding round led by West Hill Capital. The capital will be deployed to accelerate product development and expand the company's footprint in both the UK and the United States.
Operating in the hospitality sector, Wi5 supplies digital menus and management tools designed to improve operational efficiency for venues ranging from independent eateries to enterprise brands. The latest injection of funds follows early traction in American markets such as Texas and Miami, as the business prepares for a subsequent Series A raise later in the year.
From the founder
"For too long, so many SMEs — representing 80% of the hospitality industry — have been excluded from the benefits of modern sales technology due to the unit economics and requisite technical expertise. We strongly believe there’s another way and our product offering and commercial model proves that. In a market worth $47bn, we’re providing an advanced sales platform and card processing solution at a cost below the most popular payment-only services."
