Wavepaths has secured £3.3m in a seed funding round to advance its generative music software for mental healthcare. The investment was backed by a group of participants led by Heron Rock alongside several other backers including Reflex Capital and Bridge Builders Collaborative.
The capital will be directed towards enhancing the platform's personalisation algorithms, expanding system functionality for clinical practices, and scaling operations. This financing arrives as interest in psychedelic assisted therapies continues to grow among mental health practitioners globally.
Co-founded by Dr Mendel Kaelen and Anna Rickman, the company provides adaptive audio landscapes that practitioners can modify during treatment sessions. The platform builds on scientific research indicating that music plays a crucial role in therapeutic outcomes for conditions involving psychedelic applications.
