British fintech wamo has secured £1.3m in a seed investment round to fund its expansion into new markets and support talent growth. The company serves clients across 31 countries and recently surpassed 2,500 customers after transacting more than €350m in the first nine months of 2022.

Founded in 2021, the business aims to simplify day-to-day banking for small enterprises facing friction with traditional financial institutions. The fresh capital will allow the firm to scale operations further as it targets €500m in transactions by the end of 2022.
