The Liverpool technology company closed its seed round early after exceeding its target with backing from angels and industry figures.
VidiVet provides a digital platform connecting pet owners with registered veterinary professionals for round-the-clock guidance. The Liverpool business supports veterinary practices by easing operational pressures and expanding their capacity.
Liverpool-based veterinary technology provider VidiVet has closed a £310k seed funding round ahead of schedule after surpassing its initial target. The capital was secured from a syndicate of business angels, existing backers, and notable figures within the veterinary sector, including Wendy Furness.
The injection of funds will be directed toward expanding the company's workforce to accommodate the rising volume of veterinary practices onboarding onto the platform each month. This financial milestone follows the business securing a Tech Nation Rising Stars award and prepares the ground for a potential Series A raise later in the year.
From the founder
"We’ve grown rapidly over the past 12 months and have significantly increased the numbers of veterinary practices and pet owners who are using VidiVet. Winning the Tech Nation award, after competing against such a wide range of local technology businesses that are all doing impressive things, is a huge achievement for our whole team and incredibly humbling."
