Viable raises £2.4m in seed funding led by Martin Brailsford to expand embedded finance products.
The seed round was led by Martin Brailsford with participation from Episode 1, Haatch and Portfolio Ventures.
Viable builds verticalised finance technology for online and multi-channel merchants to streamline operations and optimise working capital. The company launched its platform last year with early adoption across fashion, beauty, health and wellness sectors.
Fintech startup Viable has secured £2.4m in a seed funding round led by Martin Brailsford. The raise includes participation from Episode 1, Haatch, Portfolio Ventures and several angel investors, following an earlier pre-seed round in 2023.
The fresh capital will be used to accelerate the development of embedded finance products to increase accessibility for merchants. Viable aims to address the growing financial challenges faced by online sellers navigating shifting equity and debt landscapes.
The company launched its initial technology last year to help merchants across fashion, beauty and health sectors manage cash flow and financial operations. This latest investment will support the expansion of its intelligent finance platform.
From the founder
"There’s a growing disconnect between traditional financial management processes and how early-stage brands need to operate. The next generation of DTC success stories need to scale with leaner teams and exceptional early finance performance. We’re building an intelligent finance product that gives merchants that capability – to process transactions, report finance measures, adapt budgets, visualise scenarios, access funding and ultimately improve finance outcomes"

co-founder and CEO at Viable
Investor perspective
"Given my background at Amazon and then as an investor in a number of e-commerce businesses I understood how hard it is for them to predict their cashflow and decide what strategic moves to make to improve profits and cashflow. It’s also really hard to get expert finance advice cost effectively. Viable makes it easy for business owners to plan ahead and achieve commercial success."
