Vape Guardian manufactures smart detection hardware that alerts staff when prohibited substances are used. The firm protects hundreds of schools across the British Isles and aims to expand into aviation and workplaces.
Vape Guardian has secured £350k in a seed funding round facilitated by Angel Investment Network. The capital will support the company as it scales its school safety technology and moves into new markets including aviation and commercial workplaces.
The firm offers smoke alarm style sensors that detect nicotine and THC, sending instant alerts to staff members. Established by Simon and Jean Hassett, the business currently protects more than 400 educational sites and plans to scale internationally.
Xavier Ballester of Angel Investment Network noted that the business has already built strong traction and revenues. The fresh backing will assist the founders in reaching their target of securing 1,000 schools.
