Validus secures £36.4m from FTV Capital to accelerate international expansion and product development
FTV Capital led a growth equity investment into the private markets risk management platform.
Validus provides software and tech-enabled financial risk management services for private markets. The company helps fund managers handle market risks and operational efficiencies across alternative assets.
Validus Risk Management has secured £36.4m in growth equity from FTV Capital. The minority investment will be deployed to accelerate go-to-market strategies, expand operations in the United States and the Asia-Pacific region while deepening European penetration, and fund ongoing product development.
Founded in 2010, Validus serves more than 750 funds globally managing a combined £3.2trn in assets. The firm has maintained consistent profitability alongside recurring revenue growth as alternative asset markets increase in complexity.
Following the transaction, Mike Cichowski of FTV Capital will join the company board of directors. Walter Global Asset Management retains its position as a minority shareholder.
