Valarian builds sovereign infrastructure and workload governance platforms for regulated enterprises and defence organisations.
Valarian has secured $50m in a Series A funding round led by New Enterprise Associates, bringing its total capital raised to $70m. The investment marks New Enterprise Associates' first European defence and dual-use deployment. Additional participants in the round included Lightbank, XTX Markets, Sequel, LitVC, and angel investors Gokul Rajaram and Nikesh Arora.
Founded in 2020, the London-based company develops infrastructure control layers designed to manage secure communications, data transfer, and local artificial intelligence deployment for regulated industries and sovereign defence programmes. The newly raised capital will support the firm as it expands deployment of its core governance platform across international markets.
The announcement arrives amid rising European defence expenditure and increasing government focus on operational digital sovereignty. Valarian currently employs 31 people and maintains operations across both commercial enterprise and NATO-aligned defence sectors.
