Urban Jungle has secured £2.5m in Series A funding led by Eka Ventures, alongside contributions from prominent private backers including Rob Devey, Simon Rogerson, and James Meekings. The fresh capital arrives as the tech start-up surpasses 20,000 customers and a team of 22 staff, bringing its total capital raised to £6.2m.
Established in 2016, the company focuses on delivering accessible contents insurance for renters and Millennials. The business intends to deploy the proceeds to hire additional operational staff and extend its market reach.
The investment underscores continued investor confidence in the firm despite challenging macroeconomic conditions caused by the pandemic. Alongside the funding, former Prudential chief executive Rob Devey is joining the board as a non-executive director.
