The funding round was backed by angel investors including Rob Devey and Simon Rogerson.
Urban Jungle is an insurance technology provider that uses machine learning and digital platforms to deliver home insurance. The company focuses on fairness and accessibility for renters and homeowners.
Insurance startup Urban Jungle has secured £2.5m in a seed follow on funding round from a syndicate of high profile angel investors. The capital will be deployed to expand the company insurance product offering as it continues to target the rental market.
Since launching in 2016, the firm has scaled its customer base past 15,000 policyholders by offering flexible options such as pay as you go cover and transparent pricing. The platform is engineered to integrate smoothly with modern fintech services and remove legacy questions typically posed to renters.
Following the raise, the business has also bolstered its senior leadership team with the appointments of Helen Hodges as director of strategy and operations and Lauren McAloon as head of marketing.
