The financing round saw participation from figures such as Huda Kattan and Chad Hurley.
Uptime is a learning platform that condenses key insights from books, courses, and documentaries into five-minute formats. It uses a mix of machine learning and human curation to deliver concise educational content.
Uptime has secured $3m in an extension to its seed round, bringing its total funding to $19m. The latest capital injection came from high-profile backers including Huda Kattan, Chad Hurley, Chris Messina, and Mark Gillespie. The company intends to allocate the new funds toward product development, content creation, and international expansion.
Investor perspective
"Democratising access to education is something I care deeply about and so does the team at Uptime. Iām excited to be joining them on this journey as an investor and board member to create a truly global edtech platform."
