The London-based start-up raised the capital from specialist funds and angel investors, led by British Design Fund.

Untap has raised £1.1m in a funding round featuring angel investors and specialist funds, including a £100k contribution from British Design Fund. The London-based start-up has engineered a device that tracks infectious diseases through wastewater analysis, providing automated and real-time community health metrics.
The capital will be directed towards further development of the company technology and expanding the team as Untap prepares to launch its product commercially. The founders established the business to provide a scalable alternative to individual testing following challenges observed during the Covid-19 pandemic.
