Edinburgh-based wearable tech start-up UNA Watch has secured £300k in pre-seed funding from London-based investor SFC Capital. The capital will be used to fuel product development ahead of the company's scheduled Kickstarter launch.
Founded by Lewis Allison and Colin Crosland, the firm produces a repairable modular GPS sports watch designed to counter the annual disposal of millions of tonnes of consumer electronics. The fresh funds arrive alongside a £100k award from Scottish EDGE, providing early momentum as the company targets expansion in the UK and US markets.
