UENI secures 8.98m pounds in seed investment from 36 angel investors
The London-based website provider raised the capital from high net worth backers to fuel international expansion.
The firm provides functional web presence and digital tools for small enterprises globally. It builds thousands of digital platforms daily for independent operators.
UENI secured 8.98m pounds in a seed investment from 36 private backers, bringing its total capital raised to date to about 23m pounds. The fresh funds follow rapid user expansion across seven international markets, with the platform currently registering over 3,000 new businesses daily. The company plans to scale its operations further as it targets millions of small enterprises worldwide.
Thirty-six angel investors participated in the October 2019 financing, with the vast majority of capital supplied by a core group of ten backers. Notable participants include Leonteq Securities co-founder Michael Hartweg and entrepreneur Thierry Manni. Chief executive Christine Telyan noted that the firm has relied entirely on private backers rather than institutional funds thus far.
