London-based digital health startup that has developed an all-in-one hearing assessment system for high street pharmacies and point-of-care settings.
Tympa Health has raised $8m in seed funding to expand its hearing health platform across the UK, Europe and the US. The financing round was led by serial healthcare entrepreneurs Maurice Ferre and Arjun Desai, alongside a global consortium of medical technology investors including Jim Breyer, Anil Sethi, Martin Varsavsky, Carlos Gallardo, Fred Moll, Elan Katz, Manny Kadre and Imran Hakim. KHP MedTech Innovations also participated in the round.
The company provides an all-in-one hearing assessment system designed to ease pressure on the National Health Service by enabling high street pharmacies to test and treat hearing issues within 30 minutes. The new capital will support the business as it scales internationally following recent FDA registration and growing commercial demand.
