Trojan Energy has secured £4.1m in seed funding to support the deployment of its street-level electric vehicle chargers. The investment comprises a £1m injection backed by Equity Gap, SIS Ventures, Alba Equity and the Scottish Investment Bank, alongside £3.1m awarded by Innovate UK.
The capital will enable the firm to expand its flat and flush charging infrastructure for motorists lacking off-street parking. Based in Aberdeen, the business aims to facilitate urban electric vehicle adoption and contribute to national decarbonisation goals.
