Trojan Energy has secured £2.2m in a seed follow-on funding round led by Equity Gap. The capital will be deployed to scale up volume manufacturing, expand the workforce and deploy additional charging hubs across more regions.
The investment follows the deployment of the company technology on streets in the London boroughs of Brent and Camden. Additional backing for the round came from Scottish Enterprise, SIS Ventures and Alba Equity.
The firm intends to refine its hardware to reduce cabinet sizes and lower costs while increasing availability for drivers without driveways. The latest injection of capital supports ongoing efforts to accelerate the transition to clean energy across the UK.
