Edinburgh based biotech firm Trogenix has secured €80m in Series A financing to support its pipeline of cancer therapies. The investment round was led by IQ Capital, with participation from several backers including 4BIO Capital, Cancer Research Horizons, and Eli Lilly.
The capital will be directed towards progressing the company's lead candidate for glioblastoma towards clinical trials, alongside advancing follow-on programmes for colorectal cancer liver metastases and other hard to treat malignancies. The funding follows the firm's spin-out from the University of Edinburgh and builds on its foundational research in synthetic biology.
