Trademylux operates digital resale platforms for high-end goods, beginning with an online marketplace for pre-loved art. The business provides a secure and transparent alternative to traditional auction houses.

Trademylux has secured £300k in seed funding from TRICAPITAL and Scottish Enterprise to launch its inaugural luxury goods resale platform. Trading as sellmyartworks, the venture aims to provide a transparent and cost-effective digital marketplace for pre-owned art.

Founder Bob Corsie noted that the platform addresses a gap in the market by catering to artworks outside the limited selection handled by traditional auction houses. The company plans to facilitate the sale of more than 300 artworks in its first year.

The fresh capital will support the company as it rolls out its initial art resale service, with plans to expand into other luxury goods sectors as the business matures.

From the founder
