Torsion Information Security provides automated data access governance software designed to monitor and control file sharing across enterprise collaboration platforms. The company helps organisations manage permissions in cloud environments to prevent security breaches.
London-based data access governance software provider Torsion Information Security has secured £1.1m in a seed funding round co-led by Bayes Entrepreneurship Fund, Juno Capital and The FSE Group. The capital was raised alongside contributions from several Cambridge angel networks to support the company as it expands its team and deploys its automated governance platform more widely.
The business addresses the security challenges posed by exponential growth in corporate file sharing across platforms like SharePoint and Microsoft Teams. By automating permission tracking and involving business users directly, the software helps firms maintain compliance and mitigate the risk of data breaches without relying on manual administrative controls.
