The Medical Travel Company has raised £3.3m in a seed financing round led by Nexus Venture Partners. The capital injection also drew participation from athlete-led investment group 4CAST, cofounded by international cricketers Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer and KL Rahul.
The startup intends to deploy the fresh funds to deepen clinical partnerships across the UK and enhance its technological infrastructure. By doing so, the business seeks to establish safer treatment pathways and ensure continuity of medical records for patients travelling abroad.
The funding arrives as millions face prolonged waiting lists for elective procedures within the domestic health service. The Medical Travel Company aims to address longstanding issues in medical tourism by offering transparent pricing, UK-supervised care pathways, and dedicated post-treatment insurance.
