The Build Chain raises £1.7m from Anticus Partners and other investors to fund team expansion and product development
The Doncaster platform secured its second investment round from backers including the Finance Yorkshire fund to scale operations.
The Build Chain provides an online procurement platform connecting construction contractors, merchants, and manufacturers to streamline materials sourcing. The Doncaster-based business automates enquiries to help sub-contractors and SME housebuilders save time and secure cost efficiencies.
The Build Chain has secured £1.7m in its second round of investment from angel investors, industry backers, and the Finance Yorkshire fund. The capital will enable the firm to expand its team across technology, operations, sales, and finance as it targets further expansion in 2024.
Following a nationwide rollout last year, the Doncaster company connects sub-contractors and SME housebuilders with independent merchants through automated quote comparison. The fresh funds will support ongoing platform development, including artificial intelligence features and a new marketplace for main contractors.
