Tewke closed an oversubscribed seed round to accelerate the development and market rollout of its home energy optimisation platform.
Tewke builds home automation hardware and energy optimisation systems, centered around its flagship smart light switch. The company combines local manufacturing with contextual intelligence to help households reduce carbon emissions and energy bills.
Climate technology startup Tewke has secured £2.6m in a seed financing round to support the launch of its flagship intelligent light switch. The company initially targeted a £1m raise but expanded the round following strong domestic and international investor interest.
The fresh capital will be directed towards accelerating hardware and software development, expanding the engineering team, and driving the go-to-market strategy. Tewke plans to use the funds to advance its neuro-symbolic AI systems and scale its home energy automation platform ahead of upcoming international product exhibitions.
From the founder
"There have been small movements towards adopting more energy efficient systems, and smart-home technologies, but there has always been a lack of a fully integrated system that can autonomously automate energy savings, and Tewke is changing that. Often energy savings are associated with some kind of compromise, but at Tewke we are building a platform that will elevate people’s homes, making them more environmentally friendly, intuitive and secure."
