Tewke raises £1.5m from JamJar Investments and other backers to scale its home automation technology

The funding round includes participation from JamJar Investments, Cur8 Capital, Energy Mix Ventures, Project Ventures, and angel investor Vlad Yatsenko.
Tewke builds home automation hardware and energy optimisation systems, centered around its flagship smart light switch. The company combines local manufacturing with contextual intelligence to help households reduce carbon emissions and energy bills.
Tewke has secured £1.5m in its second funding round, drawing participation from investors including JamJar Investments, Cur8 Capital, Energy Mix Ventures, and Project Ventures. The capital injection will be directed towards expanding the engineering team and strengthening the go-to-market strategy for its home energy optimisation products. Vlad Yatsenko also joined the round as an angel investor.
Founded in 2020, the London-based business developed Tap, a retrofittable smart light switch designed to operate without a neutral wire. The device doubles as an energy guide to help households manage time-of-day tariffs. The fresh funding follows a period of milestones for the firm, including B Corp certification and the unveiling of TewkeAI at Slush 2025.
