Tenyks provides a platform for machine learning engineers to identify errors and remove bias in computer vision data. The company emerged from research at the University of Cambridge and Y Combinator.

Cambridge-based startup Tenyks has secured £2.5m in a seed round co-led by Speedinvest and firstminute capital. The financing round also saw participation from a range of other funds and angel investors. The company plans to allocate the fresh capital towards expanding its engineering team.

Tenyks offers a platform designed to assist developers working with computer vision algorithms by diagnosing errors, enhancing data quality, and eliminating model bias. The fresh capital will allow the team to scale operations following its participation in Y Combinator and subsequent emergence from stealth.

From the founder

"In one case, a machine learning engineer used Tenyks to identify the root causes of 80% of their algorithm’s failures. These findings helped them deliver higher quality results to their customers because of the significantly improved system performance. Moreover, future new deployments can be onboarded in half the time because the engineers can now focus their efforts on alleviating the key bottlenecks,"
