Tenpoint Therapeutics is a biotechnology company developing cell-based therapeutics and in vivo reprogramming to reverse vision loss. The startup builds on scientific research in ocular therapies to replace lost and dysfunctional tissue in the eye.
Tenpoint Therapeutics has raised $70m in Series A funding to advance its regenerative medicine platform for degenerative ocular diseases. The round drew participation from a group of investors including British Patient Capital, F-Prime Capital, Sofinnova Partners, Qiming Venture Partners USA, Eight Roads, and the UCL Technology Fund.
The Cambridge-based company will direct the capital towards developing its platform to replace multiple cell types lost through inherited and age-related conditions. The startup focuses exclusively on the eye by harnessing advances in regenerative biology.
British Patient Capital contributed £10m to the round through its Future Fund: Breakthrough programme. The investment marks its ninth commitment to the life sciences sector.
