TaskHer raises £200k in pre-seed funding from impact investors to develop its booking platform
The pre-seed round was backed by Bethnal Green Ventures, Resolution Foundation and Ufi Ventures.
TaskHer is an online booking platform that connects homeowners with professional tradeswomen. The company aims to address gender imbalance and skills shortages in manual trades.
TaskHer has raised £200k in a pre-seed funding round from a trio of UK impact investors, including Bethnal Green Ventures, Resolution Foundation and Ufi Ventures. The capital will be used to develop the company platform and expand the community of tradeswomen using the service to secure work. Launched in July 2022, the platform currently connects customers with skilled electricians, plumbers and heating engineers.
From the founder
"The chronic skills shortage across all skilled trades presents a huge economic opportunity that is currently being missed due to a lack of visibility and outdated gender norms. We are delighted that Bethnal Green Ventures, Resolution Foundation and Ufi Ventures have invested in TaskHer to fuel the work we’re doing to tackle these social challenges"
